Question Error Messages

I keep getting the error message:

An error occurred while loading data source 1. If you are not running windows 2000 or xp, please make sure you have installed the mdac update from our support page. Error code = 53.

I am running XP. I have downloaded and installed the mdac patch. Afterwards, I restarted and then reinstalled the program. Still getting the same error. Any suggestions?

I just want to install the PC on my home computer. It is already installed on my Palm and my work cromputer.

Thanks!

Please uninstall PDACookbook from your home computer.

Then, use this link to our FAQ for information on how to install on a 2nd PC:

Thanks.

I do have the same problem like
heathercottingh.
I'm a XP user...and already installed MCAD patch on my computer. But it still didn't work! I keep getting the error message.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the PDACookbook several times. But still get the error messages.

Well, I have XP Service Pack 2 installed on my computer....is PDACookbook unincompatible with XP Service Pack 2?
Is this the reason I cannot open the PDACookbook PC version?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

This usually happens if you install the PC software, but don't install the handheld data files. In this case, you can hotsync the handheld to sync the files to the PC, and the error will be resolved.

If you still get the error, you might email us directly with more information about your setup.

Thanks.
