I just purchased the PDA Cookbook Plus and downloaded it to my PC and hotsynced it to my Treo on the 19th. Regestration code would not match my hotsync ID. After several emails with Shawn from Wakefield I realized that instead of getting the latest download(4.x),which I paid for, I got the 3.2.7 version. However, even after emailing Shawn with this info, he keeps emailing me the same regestration code which does not work!!!!! Can anybody help me get a phone number so I can speak to someone directly to fix this problem?

Is this still an issue for you?
Have you installed version 4 from:

Same goes here Shaun. I double-clicked and installed the pda cookbook lite.exe.
Nothing was transferred to the "Install Tool" on Hotsync. Shouldn't there be files extracted when you double click on the lite program? There was, when I did the same on the full trial version.

When you run pdacookbooklite-setup.exe, it should run an installer that prompts you to hotsync. The files should be installed during the hotsync.
Alternately, you can download the Mac file (.zip format), and unzip and install the PRC and PDB files to the handheld manually.

It worked, thanks! Some other questions, is there a way to transfer memo/doc written recipes to the program? (vice versa: it could be done, from program to memo)
You mentioned that Palm is able to do a basic internal backup? Could u further explain? (this backs up all Palm programs?) Or use in conjunction with a backup program? (freeware or bought?)

You can export a recipe to a memo, and you can import recipes in mealmaster format from memos. See the Help / Help menu item in PDACookbook.
Take a look at your hotsync log, it should show what databases are backed up on each hotsync. You can turn this on/off in PDACookbook in preferences. This is a built-in feature on the Palm.
