I got a new PC laptop running windows xp Pro. I successfully re-downloaded PDA cookbook to the new laptop and managed to synchronize it with my PDA, which is an HP Ipaq 2750. My recipe list from the PDA transferred over beautifully to the new laptop and I thought I was in business. Then I manually added two new recipes to the laptop. Since, of course, I wanted them on the Ipaq, I hooked it up for Activesynch and it ran through the normal routine. The problem is, the two new recipes did not transfer from the laptop to the Ipaq. I checked in the tools/options menu and PDA cookbook is checked to synch. I have tried it a hundred different ways, restarting both devices and synching, but the recipes won't move over. Everything else (i.e., Outlook) synchs perfectly, but the cookbook won't. I don't get an unresolved items message either - Activesynch says that PDA cookbook has synched but it doesn't. The one thing I have noticed is that upon synching I used to get a transient window that said something t the effect that CASL softwear was searching for changes, but I no longer get that message. Any suggestions?

Try soft resetting the handheld and rebooting the PC.

If you still have trouble, what version of Activesync is installed?

Hi Shawn, thanks. Already tried soft reset/reboot. Tried it again, just in case - no go. Active Synch is ver. 3.7.1 (build 4034). It worked perfectly on my other computer, which also ran XP. It also worked perfectly to synch up when I loaded the cookbook on my new laptop. I mentioned in my first post that I don't get the separate window that say something like "Searching for CASL Database" (something to that effect) which I used get on my old laptop, and which did appear when I synched the first time on this PC. Very mysterious.

OK, here is a wierd thing I just noticed. If I change any other item in another program, like say an appointment on the calandar, then the window, "Collecting CASL Database from Pocket PC" comes up and the recipes synch. It appears that some other program must be synchonized in order for the cookbook to update.
