I am the parts manager for an HVAC contractor in Colorado, I like the looks of this program, I have been wanting to have something like 'doinventory" on our axim's for some time now. Right now, the service techs have to scan their usage into a planmaker spreadsheet, then i have to manually post their parts to the material posting section of our databae here at the shop.

I am wondering how to do "usage" or "material posting" as some call it, in this "do inventory" program?

Ideally, I could import a job list out of our database in access format, transfer it to do inventory, and then the tech would have a usage screen, scan or select the part from the inventory location, hit a drop down menu to select the job name and number, select the quantity, date and hit save, then, upon activesync with my computer, these files would be loaded into the "do inventory" for my desktop, allowing me to import the files into our database.

Thats what I would like to see, but ill take anything for now as a way to post parts out of inventory and to a job.
