I have just started using BookBag Plus and like it a lot but have had some frustrations with it. I have a small library of my own books and have been loading them in (I'm at 457 records at the moment) and have had the following happen:

First: Once in a while my Internet connection drops and then comes back again. When this happens BBag sometimes hangs looking for that connection but when I wait a long time nothing happens. If I click on the Lookup button again I get an error box and the program shuts down. When that happens whatever I loaded during that session dumps and is not saved in my database and I have to start over. It has happened about five times now and I have had to reload a few hundred books. I am now exiting the program and letting it write to the database after about every 10 books. Is there a way to force the program to save the database without restarting the program?

Second: Some books have a photo stored in the Internet Lookup database. Is there a way for me to add images myself of the books I have or is there a way for me to update the internet database?

Thanks,

mbaird

Suggestion, I usually enter a book by the ISBN number which is faster and usually more efficient than entering a title to search on. Can you allow us to set whether the program defaults to the Title box or the ISBN box so that we do not have to select the box with the mouse everytime before entering data. I use the keyboard short cuts and would find that easier

Thanks for the input.

We are working on a fix for the error that causes the program to shutdown if a lookup fails.

You can use the File / Save menu command to force a save.

Also, you can attach your own images if you like. Just click the picture button when editing a book, then browse for your graphic. There is not a way to update the online database, as we are using data from amazon.com.

Thanks.
