I would like to know if you are able to import recipes to your handheld without using the PC desktop software? I go out of state a lot and wouldn't be able to download the PC desktop software onto the different computers. If so, please explain how to do it? Thank you!

The latest version has the ability to import recipes from Palm OS memos into PDACookbook directly on the handheld. This is of most use to Lite users, who do not have the ability to import via the desktop software.
Here are the detailed instructions:
You can import recipes from memos on the Palm OS handheld version. Save your recipe(s) to a Palm OS memo and sync it to your handheld.
The first line in each memo should start with either 'MM' or '----', so that PDACookbook knows which memos to try to import. MealMaster recipes will start with '-----' anyway, but if you need to be able to name the memo, you can add 'MM: <recipe name>' as the first line of the memo, then have the MealMaster recipe(s) below that. You can also have more than one recipe per memo.
Once the memos are on the handheld, tap the top bar in PDACookbook on the handheld to display the menu, then select 'Import MealMaster Memos' from the File menu. Once the import is complete, a message box will display how many recipes were imported.
