Upon trying to start the application, a dialog box titled "Error" appears:

"An error occurred while loading data source 1.

"If you are not .... MDAC ...

"ErrorCode = -2147221164

"Filename = " (blank)

I am running WinXP SP2 (which includes the MDAC). Installation looks fine, and the Palm software seems to start fine in the demo mode.

Any hints?

You should not need the new MDAC with XP SP2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling.

It could be a conflict with Norton.

Here is an article at Microsoft with 2 options for fixing the error:

You might try the 2 solutions under the Resolution section on that page.

No Norton. Running McAfee AV. Anything else?

Since XP SP2 contains MDAC 2.6, some of the code needed to run your program may not be compatible if written for ADSI 2.5. As I understand this, it is also an issue for Server 2003 with hosts running XP SP2.
