importing csv data

I have converted some data from a different program to a *.csv file that I'd like to import into AutoFile. I have paired it down to 5 fields of information that I want but everytime I try to import into AutoFile I get an error. Any one have any suggestions how to make the import work?

Make sure that each record is on one line when you view it in notepad. Sometimes other CSVs have a 'notes' field with line breaks in it. This will cause in import error, and you may need to remove the extra line breaks.

I have multiple vehicles I would like to import data for.
After I selected the first file and got it imported (lots of errors during the process), I no longer have the option of changing the filename of the import file!
Other than renaming the import file, are there any other options?
