View Full Version : Re-enter password after Palm turns off

Just upgraded to 5.0.5 from 4.6.7 on my Tungsten E2. A feature I valued was having to re-enter the password if the device turned off or if I turned it off the next time the device was turned on. Now I have to be sure to close the program before turning the device off, or before it shuts down. Otherwise the program is open and data unprotected the next time the device is turned on. Another annoyance is that when the program opens on my WinXP PC, the focus is on the filter dropdown instead of the item list. I find it quicker to use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll through the list, but I have to click into the list first to put the focus there. I'll probably go back to 4.6.7 for convenience and to better protect data and keep an eye out for improved functionality in subsequent updates.

We are working to get this fixed. It seems the 5 way nav and menu nav support interfered with this feature.

Interesting:(

Man, don't you HATE putting all the work into creating a vastly better version only to find new and interesting bugs?:(

Please install the attached PRC to your Palm. This version 5.0.6b will have the power off password prompt enabled. Test it to see if it works for you and let us know...
