Compressing data during transfer

Would it be an idea to compress the data that is transferred between the PDA and the PC? This would dramatically increase the time it takes to transfer data between the client and host..

Possible, but complicated.

Are you using a Palm OS or Windows Mobile device? If Windows Mobile, then our next major update will sync differently and should be much faster.
